Caddo Council On Aging

In 1973, the Area Agency on Aging was established by amendment to the Older American Act.  That same year, the Caddo Council on Aging was incorporated.  In 1976, the Caddo Council on Aging is designated as the Area Agency on Aging by the U.S. Government and the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs.  As such, the Area Agency on Aging has served as the primary parish agency charged with administering a comprehensive multi-year plan designed to meet the needs of its older adult residents.

The Caddo Council on Aging is governed by a 17 members of a board of directors who are elected by the members of the Council and can serve two terms.  The Council holds a membership drive annually and there is no cost associated with membership.
