Calcasieu Council On Aging

     It is the sole purpose of the Calcasieu Council on Aging to assist older adults in order to remain independent in their own homes.

     CCOA is a non profit service organization comprised of professional and skilled employees trained to effectively and efficiently administer and provide support services, education, and recreation to Calcasieu Parish residents. CCOA receives limited funding from state, federal, and local monies. There is no fee for any of our services provided. However, contributions are accepted and play a huge role in the continuation of services. 

      Persons 60 and over are eligible for most services.

  • Recreational Information
  • SenioRX/ADRC (Adult Disability Resource Center)
  • Senior Housing
  • Telephoning
  • Utility Assistance
  • Wellness Outreach

Senior Centers provide a wide range of services and activities, Monday through Friday. Health screenings, recreation, club meetings, ceramics, dominoes, and quilting are enjoyed by the older adults who participate.
